Technology project reaches planned capacity
In a September 22, 2026 media release, Sulzer said it had delivered its DEVO purification technology to BeyondPoly’s Version 2.0 polyolefin elastomer plant in China. The facility has an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons.
Sulzer said BeyondPoly and Sulzer had signed the final acceptance certificate for the purification unit. The certificate confirmed that the system had been installed, tested and was operating as intended, while the plant had reached its planned production capacity. The technology performs a purification step that removes residual compounds from the material and supports consistent product quality, according to the company.
Applications include solar panels and electric vehicles
Sulzer said polyolefin elastomers are used in solar panels, electric vehicles, energy storage systems and other advanced manufacturing applications. The company described the project as a reference for its purification technology in the expanding polyolefin elastomer sector.
