TD stock: TD Insurance reports survey findings on unattended homes

The survey found that 48% of respondents intend to leave their primary residence unattended for more than one day, while the figure reached 81% among owners of secondary properties. The CNW release said the survey was conducted by Leger from September 23 to 28, 2026, among 1,505 Canadian adults.
Survey highlights property risks
TD Insurance said 25% of Canadians who had previously left a property unattended for more than one day experienced a weather, electrical, plumbing or security issue while away. Among seasonal or secondary property owners with that experience, the share was 62%. The release identified power outages, theft or break-ins, frozen or burst pipes, storm damage and water damage among respondents' concerns.
