TotalEnergies confirms long-term growth objectives

In a strategy and outlook presentation published on September 28, TotalEnergies confirmed its objective of growing overall energy production by 4 percent per year through 2030. The company also set an average oil and gas production growth target of more than 3 percent per year between 2025 and 2030, according to the TotalEnergies presentation.

TotalEnergies said electricity generation is expected to grow by more than 20 percent per year and reach 100 to 120 TWh annually by 2030. Integrated Power is expected to be free-cash-flow positive in 2027 and reach a 12 percent return on average capital employed by 2030, the company said.

TotalEnergies said its Board of Directors adopted a policy on September 27 to increase the dividend by more than 5 percent per year for financial years 2026 through 2030. The Board also authorized $2.5 billion in share buybacks for the fourth quarter of 2026 and between $2 billion and $2.5 billion for the first quarter of 2027, according to the presentation.
