UnitedHealthcare outlines 2027 plans
UnitedHealthcare, one of UnitedHealth Group's two businesses, introduced its 2027 Medicare Advantage plans on October 1. The company said approximately 90% of Medicare-eligible consumers with access to a UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plan will have a $0 premium option. The plans also include $0 primary care visits, $0 preventive care services and $0 Tier 1 prescription drug copays for all members, according to the company's release.
Medicare access and digital tools
The 2027 offering is focused on affordability, support for people with complex or chronic conditions and a more connected member experience. UnitedHealthcare said its updated UCard experience will include a dedicated member ID card, an enhanced UCard for eligible benefit credits and rewards, and expanded digital access to balances, covered products and participating retailers.
