Digital inspection acquisition completed
On September 15, 2026, Vossloh said it had completed the acquisition of Australian Rail Technology International Pty Ltd. RTI specializes in automated rail inspection using ultrasonic and eddy current technologies. Vossloh said the deal expands its solutions for assessing rail condition and its data and analytics capabilities. RTI employs around 50 people and is headquartered in Melbourne.
South African rail-maintenance contract
In a September 24, 2026 product announcement, Vossloh said it would deliver a VTM-compact rail milling machine and a smart HSG-city grinding machine with the mapl-e digital analysis platform to Railway Corporation (Pty) Limited in South Africa. The equipment is intended for maintaining rail lines used to transport coal, iron ore and other raw materials.
