Japan data-center power evaluation
On September 17, Wärtsilä Corporation said it had signed a memorandum of understanding with Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Co., Ltd. to jointly evaluate power-supply solutions for data centers in Japan. The framework covers gas- or dual-fuel engine-based generation solutions for selected projects under development by TGES, including technical concepts, performance parameters and project feasibility assessments, according to the Wärtsilä release.
Marine service agreement
In a separate September 3 release, Wärtsilä Corporation said it had signed a Lifecycle Agreement with Mercy Ships International. The agreement includes a five-year renewal for the Global Mercy hospital ship and a three-year service agreement for the Africa Mercy II. Wärtsilä said the order was booked in the third quarter of 2026 and includes spare parts, field services, crew training and its Expert Insight predictive-maintenance service, according to the Wärtsilä release.
