In a press release distributed by GlobeNewswire on October 1, Wendel said it had finalized the sale of its stake in Stahl, excluding Muno, to Henkel for an enterprise value of EUR 2.1 billion after receiving all required regulatory approvals.
Wendel reported total net proceeds of approximately EUR 1.14 billion after debt and transaction costs. The company said the transaction represented a 6.3-times net multiple on its total investment since 2006 and an annualized internal rate of return of more than 15 percent over 20 years.
