Atul stock reports 25 percent revenue growth in Q1 FY27
Published on 10/07/2026 at 06:32 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSAtul stock was trading at INR 5,984.50 on the NSE at 10:01 a.m. IST on October 7, 2026, down 0.26 percent from the previous close. The latest reported quarter delivered revenue growth, sharper margins and a large earnings increase.
Q1 revenue rises 25 percent
According to DSIJ on July 25, 2026, Atul reported Q1 FY27 revenue of INR 1,850 crore, up 25 percent year over year. Performance and Other Chemicals revenue increased 34 percent to INR 1,420 crore, while Life Science Chemicals revenue rose 4 percent to INR 470 crore.
The earnings mix matters because the faster-growing Performance and Other Chemicals segment represented 74 percent of reported revenue in the quarter. That concentration gives operating leverage a larger effect on group profitability when volumes and pricing improve.
Margins drive the earnings step
Atul's EBITDA margin expanded 540 basis points year over year to 21.3 percent in Q1 FY27, exceeding Motilal Oswal's 16.2 percent estimate. Consolidated EBITDA rose 67 percent to INR 400 crore, compared with the broker's INR 280 crore estimate, according to DSIJ.
Adjusted PAT increased 92 percent year over year to INR 250 crore against the broker's INR 160 crore estimate. Motilal Oswal also raised its FY27E and FY28E adjusted PAT estimates by 15 percent and 14 percent, respectively, after the quarter.
Broker target stays at INR 8,400
Motilal Oswal maintained a Buy rating and an INR 8,400 price target in its July 25, 2026 update, while the report cited INR 6,408 as the reference price. The target was therefore INR 1,992 above that reference price, a gap of 31.09 percent, according to DSIJ.
Atul's proposed INR 167 crore capacity project for Mecoprop-p and MCPA adds a second operating theme to the results story. The planned facility includes capacity of 1,000 tonnes per year for Mecoprop-p and 750 tonnes per year for MCPA, with operations expected after 67 weeks.
Stock remains below yearly high
Atul stock was trading 16.64 percent below its 52-week high of INR 7,180 and above its 52-week low of INR 5,560.50 on October 7, 2026. Its market capitalization stood at INR 176.2 billion and volume was 2,666 shares at the quoted time.
The NSE listing, ticker ATUL and ISIN INE100A01010 are identified by ATS. The combination of 25 percent revenue growth and a 21.3 percent EBITDA margin places the next quarterly update under pressure to show that the Q1 operating improvement can continue.
