Eurobank reported stronger performance for the first nine months of 2026, with growth in net interest income, fees and lending. The results were published on October 29, while the reporting period ended on September 30. Euro2day reported that adjusted net profit rose 14.3% year on year to EUR 1.209 billion, while total net profit increased 12.4% to EUR 1.161 billion.

Revenue and credit expansion

Net interest income increased 8.7% year on year to EUR 2.068 billion. In the third quarter, it rose 5.0% from the previous quarter to EUR 719 million. Net fee and commission income advanced 13.0% to EUR 630 million, supported by lending, wealth management and insurance activities.

Organic revenue grew 9.7% to EUR 2.698 billion, while total revenue increased 10.8% to EUR 2.776 billion. Operating expenses rose 6.9% to EUR 995 million, but the cost-to-income ratio improved to 35.8% from 37.1% a year earlier.

Organic loan growth reached EUR 3.8 billion during the first nine months, including EUR 2.0 billion in Greece and EUR 1.8 billion from international operations. Customer deposits increased by EUR 4.7 billion to EUR 87.2 billion. Assets under management rose 22.3% year on year to EUR 11.4 billion.

Capital and shareholder distribution

Eurobank reported a non-performing exposure ratio of 2.4% at September 30, with coverage of 81.9%. The Common Equity Tier 1 ratio stood at 15.5%, while return on tangible equity reached 16.9%.

The bank said it will pay an interim dividend of EUR 0.0599 per share on November 26. Management also said the completion of the Eurolife acquisition provides an additional growth driver in insurance and wealth management. For investors, the combination of organic loan growth, fee expansion and capital strength provides the main context for assessing the results; it does not by itself establish a future share-price reaction.
