- Grainger reached the topping-out milestone at Alloy Apartments, its second Build to Rent scheme at The Mint in Guildford.
- The project remains on track for completion in early 2028, with homes expected to launch in mid-2028.
- Grainger is due to report its fiscal 2026 results on November 19, 2026.
Grainger reached a construction milestone at Alloy Apartments in Guildford on November 2, with the second phase of The Mint development reaching the topping-out stage. The announcement was carried by Investegate from the company's RNS release.
Development milestone in Guildford
Alloy Apartments will provide 179 rental homes in a project costing approximately 75 million pounds. Grainger said practical completion remains scheduled for early 2028, with homes expected to become available to renters in mid-2028.
The development is part of Grainger's committed pipeline and is being delivered beside Guildford Station. Together with the first phase, Assay Apartments, the two schemes are expected to provide 277 homes and represent more than 116 million pounds of investment in Guildford.
Assay Apartments ended Grainger's fiscal 2026 fully occupied and delivered rental growth of 3.6 percent, according to the company announcement. Grainger said Alloy is one of three developments currently being delivered within its committed pipeline, which is expected to support its target of 35 percent earnings growth by fiscal 2029.
Results are next market focus
Grainger's fiscal 2026 results are scheduled for November 19, 2026. The Guildford project gives investors a view of development execution ahead of that reporting date, while delivery timing and construction costs remain relevant to the pace at which new rental homes can contribute to earnings.
Grainger's business and rivals
Grainger is a UK residential landlord focused on the Build to Rent sector, developing, owning and operating rental homes for residents. The company has about 11,300 rental homes and a secured development pipeline of about 4,000 homes, according to its company description in the RNS announcement.
Grainger is the UK's largest listed residential landlord, giving it a listed-market scale advantage among domestic peers. Other named Build to Rent operators active in the UK sector include Greystar, Moda Living and Sigma Capital, which are more specialized or differently structured competitors rather than direct like-for-like listed equivalents.
For investors tracking the wider UK housing market, current FTSE 100 market reports provide the broader index context.
