IC Enterra Yenilenebilir Enerji is preparing to access international debt markets after Turkey's Capital Markets Board approved an overseas issuance framework, according to a report by Ticari Hayat published on October 25, 2026. The approval followed a board decision dated September 1 and an application submitted on September 22.
International funding framework
The authorization covers bonds or financing bills for sale to institutional investors outside Turkey. The permitted framework remains valid through October 16, 2027, and issuances may be completed in one transaction or in several tranches, depending on market conditions.
The report said the financing is intended to diversify IC Enterra's funding structure with longer-term foreign-currency resources. The company also aims to refinance more expensive borrowings and use any proceeds for new renewable-energy investments. The authorization is a ceiling rather than evidence that the full amount has already been issued or raised.
Debt reduction supports new strategy
According to the same report, IC Enterra reduced total debt from 19.4 billion Turkish lira at the end of 2025 to 15.1 billion Turkish lira after the first six months of 2026. Financing costs also fell substantially, while the company moved from a loss of 741.4 million Turkish lira in the first half of the previous year to a profit of 159 million Turkish lira in the comparable 2026 period.
For investors, the proposed refinancing could improve the maturity and cost profile of the balance sheet, but the eventual effect will depend on the timing, pricing and currency mix of any future issuance. The approval itself does not establish the terms of a completed transaction.
