- IG Group maintained its 2026 and medium-term growth and margin targets after a 14% year-on-year revenue decline in the third quarter.
- The company plans to broaden its platform through trading, investing, cryptocurrency and prediction-market products.
- The proposed Underdog acquisition and a planned Jersey redomicile remain important execution milestones.
IG Group reported a sharp third-quarter slowdown on October 22, 2026, while reaffirming its full-year and medium-term targets. In its official capital markets release, the company said total revenue fell 14% year on year to GBP 240.5 million in the third quarter.
Targets withstand quarterly pressure
Net trading revenue declined 15% to GBP 212.3 million, while net interest income fell 7.5% to GBP 28.2 million. The company attributed the quarter's weaker performance to softer market conditions and reduced trading activity across key businesses.
IG maintained its 2026 outlook for total revenue growth in the mid-single-digit percentage range and an EBITDA margin in the low-40s percentage range, excluding one-off costs. Its medium-term standalone targets also remain unchanged: organic revenue growth of more than 10% annually and an EBITDA margin in the mid-40s percentage range.
New products broaden the plan
The strategy update puts greater emphasis on a unified platform spanning trading, investing and cryptocurrency services. IG expects to launch financial prediction markets for UK professional clients in the fourth quarter of 2026 and plans broader political, entertainment and sports markets in early 2027, subject to regulatory approval.
The proposed acquisition of US fantasy sports and prediction-markets operator Underdog remains on track to complete in late 2026 or early 2027. The proposed redomicile to Jersey is also expected in late 2026 or early 2027, subject to court approval and other conditions.
The real-time quote of IG Group stock remains relevant to investors assessing whether the strategy can offset weaker near-term trading conditions.
