Investors Title Company delivered stronger second-quarter results for the period ended June 30, 2026, according to Zacks. Earnings per share rose to 7.73 US dollars from 6.48 US dollars in the year-earlier quarter, while revenue increased to 86.5 million US dollars from 73.6 million US dollars.
Premium growth lifts quarterly results
Net income increased to 14.6 million US dollars from 12.3 million US dollars. Income before income taxes reached 19.4 million US dollars, compared with 15.8 million US dollars a year earlier; excluding net investment gains, adjusted income before taxes rose to 14.7 million US dollars from 13.7 million US dollars.
Net premiums written climbed to 67.5 million US dollars from 54.5 million US dollars. Direct premiums rose to 19.8 million US dollars, while agency premiums increased to 47.8 million US dollars. Escrow and other title-related fees also advanced, although revenue from non-title services declined.
Real estate activity remains the key variable
Zacks said Chairman J. Allen Fine described the quarter as the company's strongest financial performance in several years. Management linked the improvement to title revenue growth, market expansion initiatives and modestly improving transaction activity, while broader real estate conditions remained sluggish.
Higher net premiums, escrow fees and net investment gains supported the headline figures. The provision for claims increased alongside higher premium volumes and revised actuarial loss-ratio estimates, while operating expenses also rose.
