LS Corp stock fell 1.53 percent to KRW 321,500 on the Korea Exchange on September 23, 2026, while second-quarter operating profit reached KRW 596 billion. The result gives the share price a sharp contrast: the stock is 46.8 percent below its 52-week high of KRW 604,000, even as quarterly revenue climbed 40.3 percent year on year to KRW 11.0 trillion.
Profit growth accelerates in Q2
ATS View reports that LS generated KRW 596 billion in Q2 operating profit, compared with KRW 236 billion in Q2 2025. That is a 152.5 percent year-on-year increase based on the reported figures, while the operating margin improved to 5.4 percent from 3.0 percent.
The earnings mix matters for investors. Revenue growth alone can reflect higher input costs, but the wider margin shows that more of the sales increase reached operating profit. Net income stood at KRW 297 billion in Q2 2026, compared with KRW 163 billion a year earlier, according to the same quarterly data.
Power infrastructure adds a catalyst
LS is positioned across cables, electrical equipment, materials and industrial machinery through its subsidiaries. A U.S. data center contract adds a concrete demand signal: The Globe and Mail reported that LS ELECTRIC AMERICA signed a KRW 230.9 billion supply contract for a U.S. Big Tech data center, running from June 2026 to January 2027.
The contract is equivalent to 4.65 percent of LS Corp's 2025 consolidated sales, according to the report. Progress-based billing means the revenue contribution is tied to delivery schedules, so execution and project timing remain important alongside the headline contract value.
Target price remains above market
Edaily reports that SK Securities maintains a Buy rating on LS and sets a KRW 540,000 target price. The target is KRW 218,500 above the September 23 market price, a 68.0 percent difference that reflects expectations for continued earnings improvement in the wire, cable and electrical equipment businesses.
Stock remains below yearly high
LS Corp stock closed at KRW 321,500 on the Korea Exchange on September 23, 2026. Its market capitalization was KRW 8,916,771,314,500 on that date, while the KRW 604,000 yearly high leaves operating execution and valuation as the key variables for the next market move.
