Macquarie cuts target for Centuria stock to A$1.20
Published on 10/02/2026 at 14:52 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSMacquarie cut its target for Centuria to A$1.20, as TradingView reported on October 1, 2026. The move puts valuation pressure beside a stronger operating result, with Centuria entering fiscal 2027 after a year of higher earnings and record assets under management.
FY26 earnings set the baseline
Centuria reported operating profit after tax of A$113.8 million for fiscal 2026, up 11.5 percent from the prior year. Operating earnings reached A$0.136 per security, compared with A$0.122 in fiscal 2025, while distributions remained at A$0.104 per security.
The company also ended fiscal 2026 with A$22.2 billion of assets under management, up from A$20.6 billion a year earlier. Centuria said on August 27, 2026, that acquisitions exceeded A$1.2 billion and that operating gearing declined from 12.3 percent to 5.1 percent.
FY27 guidance meets a lower target
Management set fiscal 2027 operating profit after tax guidance at A$130 million, representing 14.00 percent growth from the fiscal 2026 result. The earnings call also identified an A$300 million equity raise completed in June and the expansion of ResetData as part of the next growth phase.
That outlook contrasts with the latest valuation reset. Macquarie's A$1.20 target is lower than the prior target cited in the October 1 market report, while a separate September 4 report said MA Financial Group retained a buy call but reduced its target from A$2.18 to A$1.83, according to Motley Fool Australia.
ASX valuation remains the market test
Centuria Capital Group was last at AUD 1.17 on the ASX on October 2, 2026 at 5:10 p.m. AEDT. Its market capitalization was AUD 971.3 million, and the 52-week range was AUD 1.09 to AUD 2.44, leaving the operating expansion story dependent on whether earnings growth can narrow the gap between company guidance and analyst valuation.
