- Third-quarter revenue increased 28 percent year over year, while adjusted EBITDA rose 21 percent.
- The Lhoist North America combination expanded the Specialties business and contributed to the stronger outlook.
- Management expects mid- to high-single-digit mix-adjusted aggregates pricing growth in 2027.
Martin Marietta Materials reported record third-quarter revenue on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, and raised its full-year outlook after the Lhoist North America combination strengthened its portfolio. The company said in a press release carried by Yahoo Finance that revenue reached 2.369 billion US dollars for the quarter ended September 30, up 28 percent from the prior-year period.
Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations rose 21 percent to 808 million US dollars. Adjusted earnings per diluted share declined 11 percent to 5.47 US dollars, while GAAP earnings per diluted share from continuing operations fell 34 percent to 3.94 US dollars. Acquisition, divestiture and integration expenses, together with the impact of selling acquired inventory after acquisition accounting adjustments, affected the reported figures.
Acquisitions lift volumes and specialties
Aggregates shipments increased 15.9 percent to a record 67.1 million tons, as acquired operations more than offset a modest decline in organic shipments. Average selling price fell 3.6 percent to 22.41 US dollars per ton because acquired operations have lower average prices, although organic mix-adjusted pricing increased 2.7 percent.
The Specialties business posted record revenue of 362 million US dollars, compared with 131 million US dollars a year earlier. Martin Marietta said the Lhoist North America business generated 216 million US dollars in revenue and 115 million US dollars in cash gross profit between its August 21 closing and September 30.
Outlook shifts toward pricing execution
Martin Marietta raised its 2026 revenue guidance to a range of 7.75 billion to 7.85 billion US dollars and set adjusted EBITDA guidance at 2.45 billion to 2.50 billion US dollars. Management expects acquisition contributions to offset softer near-term heritage demand and inflationary cost pressure.
For 2027, the company expects mid- to high-single-digit aggregates pricing growth on a mix-adjusted basis, supported by pricing actions planned for January 1. Infrastructure and data centers are expected to remain stronger end markets, while interest-rate-sensitive private construction is softer.
Martin Marietta stock traded at 492.75 euros on Lang & Schwarz at 11:00 p.m. CET on Wednesday, November 4. Investors are weighing acquisition-led growth against lower aggregates profitability, higher energy costs and the heavier financing burden from the Lhoist transaction.
