Natco Pharma stock: Rights issue adds 17 million shares

Natco Pharma completed a rights issue of 17,058,082 fully paid-up equity shares, aggregating to 1,279.4 crore Indian rupees, according to Bar and Bench. The report was published on November 2, 2026, and said Khaitan and Co advised Natco Pharma on the transaction.

The completed issue adds a fresh equity event to Natco Pharma's recent investor calendar. For shareholders, the enlarged share base is relevant when assessing future earnings per share, ownership proportions and the company's ability to fund its operations and expansion.

Specialty generics remain central

Natco Pharma develops, manufactures and markets finished dosage formulations, active pharmaceutical ingredients and intermediates. Its portfolio covers oncology and other therapeutic areas, with operations in India, the United States and international markets.

The company also supplies products in central nervous system, cardiovascular, gastroenterology and other categories, and operates in contract manufacturing and agrochemicals.
