- NEXGEL satisfied Nasdaq's minimum bid-price requirement after maintaining the required closing bid level through October 23, 2026.
- The company said its common stock will continue trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market.
- NEXGEL combines medical technology and wound-care products with hydrogel applications for healthcare, beauty and consumer markets.
NEXGEL regained compliance with Nasdaq's minimum bid-price requirement on October 27, 2026, removing a regulatory obstacle that had threatened its continued listing. The company met the rule after its closing bid remained at or above the required threshold through October 23, according to MyChesCo.
Listing issue is now closed
Nasdaq's Listing Qualifications Department notified NEXGEL that it had satisfied Listing Rule 5550(a)(2). The company had received a deficiency notice on April 22, 2026, after its shares traded below the required minimum closing bid price for 30 consecutive business days.
To restore compliance, NEXGEL needed to maintain a closing bid of at least 1 US dollar for 10 consecutive trading days. The company said Nasdaq has closed the matter and that its common shares will continue trading on the Nasdaq Capital Market. The compliance decision removes the immediate delisting issue, but it does not by itself change the company's operating performance or valuation.
Hydrogels support several markets
NEXGEL develops and manufactures high-water-content, electron-beam cross-linked hydrogels for healthcare and consumer applications. Through its BIONX Surgical division, the company markets wound-management and ophthalmic products, including human amniotic membrane allografts, connective-tissue matrices and antimicrobial hydrogel dressings.
The company's consumer activities include hydrogel products for beauty and over-the-counter applications, as well as brands such as Hexagels, Turfguard, Kenkoderm and Silly George. NEXGEL is based in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, and says it has manufactured cross-linked hydrogels for more than two decades, according to its investor-relations page.
