Otokar signs armored vehicle deal: what it means for Otokar stock
Published on 10/02/2026 at 12:09 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSOtokar (ISIN TRAOTKAR91H3) signed a USD 1,472,080,360 export contract for wheeled armored vehicles and integrated logistics support on October 1, 2026. According to Anadolu Agency, the agreement takes effect after official approvals, guarantee procedures and an advance payment.
Contract adds a USD 1.47 billion order
The contract value equals USD 1.47 billion, making the order a major addition to Otokar's defense backlog. Vehicle deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027 and continue in batches over three years, while the agreement remains in force for seven years, Anadolu Agency reported on October 1, 2026.
Otokar will provide guarantee letters totaling USD 441.62 million. That amount is 30.00 percent of the contract value, so the financing and approval conditions remain important before the agreement becomes effective.
Revenue grows while losses remain heavy
Otokar recorded TRY 21.17 billion in revenue in the first half of 2026, down 19.00 percent year over year, while its net loss reached TRY 4.49 billion. Simply Wall St said the first-half result also included TRY 42.9 billion in net financial debt as of the period end.
The contract therefore combines a large future revenue opportunity with a balance sheet that still carries substantial financing pressure. The delivery schedule spreads execution across three years rather than concentrating the full order in one reporting period.
Analyst consensus stays constructive
Investing.com listed a consensus Buy rating based on three analysts and an average 12-month target of TRY 449.67 in its October 1, 2026 update. The same overview showed targets from TRY 380.00 to TRY 519.00, indicating a wide spread in expectations.
Seven-year execution horizon
Otokar's new agreement links the headline contract value to a seven-year support period and a 2027 delivery start. The company is listed on BIST under the OTKAR ticker, while the first-half loss and net debt figures make contract execution and cash conversion central measures for the coming reporting periods.
