Wells Fargo cut its price target for RxSight stock to 6 US dollars from 9 US dollars on Wednesday, November 4, while keeping an Equal Weight rating. The analyst move followed RxSight's third-quarter results, which showed weaker revenue and continued competitive pressure.
According to Markets Insider, Wells Fargo cited seasonality, competitive product trials and disruption from restructuring. The firm expects fourth-quarter Light Adjustable Lens sales to be in line with the second quarter and lower operating expenses in 2027.
Third-quarter pressure persists
RxSight reported third-quarter revenue of 24.6 million US dollars for the period ended September 30, 2026, down 19 percent from a year earlier. Light Adjustable Lens procedure volume fell 11 percent to 23,128 units, while the company posted a net loss of 16.2 million US dollars, or 0.39 US dollars per share.
The company has suspended formal 2026 guidance and plans to resume guidance with its fourth-quarter results. Management is nearly doubling its US sales force and expects restructuring actions across manufacturing, corporate functions and international operations to reduce expenses from 2027 onward.
