PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk, also known as Surge, reshaped its leadership at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on October 21, according to IDNFinancials. Fadel Muhammad was appointed president commissioner after Hashim Djojohadikusumo stepped down, while Shannedy Ong became president director.
Board Changes Follow October Meeting
Fadel had served as a company commissioner since June 2026 and now leads the board of commissioners. Shannedy Ong, who had been a director since 2024, replaced Hendrik Tee as chief executive.
The new leadership structure also includes independent commissioner Doni Satiaji Soetadi and directors Andrew, Yune Marketatmo and Mohammad Mustaghfirin. The company said the appointments were intended to provide continuity in its business strategy.
Connectivity Expansion Remains Focus
Shannedy said Surge would continue developing its fiber-optic network and expanding internet access as the foundation for Indonesia's digital economy and adoption of artificial intelligence. The company operates connectivity, technology and tower-fiberization services, including dark-fiber leasing, bandwidth leasing, colocation and content delivery network services.
Surge's website says its infrastructure spans railway and highway corridors in Indonesia and serves small and medium-sized businesses, large enterprises, multinational companies and government agencies. Its projects include fiber networks along Java's railway lines, highway connectivity and a CDN partnership with Huawei.
