SunCoke Energy reported stronger operating performance for the third quarter on October 27, 2026, as consolidated adjusted EBITDA increased to USD 76.9 million from USD 59.1 million a year earlier. The company said its Industrial Services business benefited from higher terminal handling volumes and a full quarter of Phoenix results, while Domestic Coke gained from a more favorable contract and spot sales mix and better coal-to-coke yields. The SunCoke Energy earnings release said revenue was broadly stable year over year, while the shutdown of the Haverhill I cokemaking facility reduced blast coke volumes.
Operating gains outweigh volume pressure
Net income attributable to SunCoke was USD 21.8 million, compared with USD 22.2 million in the prior-year quarter, and diluted earnings per share were USD 0.25 versus USD 0.26. Domestic Coke adjusted EBITDA rose to USD 51.1 million despite lower sales volumes, while Industrial Services adjusted EBITDA reached USD 32.1 million, supported by Phoenix and higher terminal activity.
Management now expects consolidated adjusted EBITDA to modestly exceed the upper end of its USD 250 million to USD 265 million 2026 guidance range. SunCoke also declared a quarterly cash dividend of USD 0.12 per share, payable on December 1, 2026.
