According to Tata Consultancy Services in its Q1 FY27 investor materials, net income reached USD 1.460 billion and net margin stood at 19.2 percent for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

The operating picture was mixed. A September 2026 review by DSIJ said Q1 FY27 rupee revenue rose 13.9 percent year over year, while the EBIT margin declined 130 basis points sequentially to 24.0 percent.

AI becomes the growth engine

TCS reported annualized AI revenue of USD 2.6 billion in Q1 FY27, up 13.6 percent from the previous quarter. That expansion outpaced total dollar revenue growth and gives the results a distinct technology-led angle.

The same Q1 update put total contract value at USD 9.5 billion, down 21.0 percent quarter over quarter but up 1.0 percent year over year. The comparison points to stronger AI monetization alongside uneven overall deal momentum.

According to The Economic Times, TCS scheduled its board meeting for October 8, 2026, to approve results for the quarter and six-month period ending September 30, 2026, and consider a second interim dividend. For investors, the upcoming report will test whether AI growth can offset the margin pressure visible in Q1 FY27.
