Tata Tele stock was last at INR 34.18 on the NSE on October 6, 2026, down 0.44 percent from the previous close of INR 34.33. The latest operating update shows revenue growth alongside a still substantial quarterly loss.
Q1 loss narrows sharply
According to ScanX News on July 22, 2026, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) reported a net loss of INR 72.15 crore for Q1 FY27, compared with INR 324.98 crore in the year-earlier quarter. The loss therefore narrowed by INR 252.83 crore, while basic loss per share improved to INR 0.37 from INR 1.66.
Revenue from operations increased 6.1 percent year over year to INR 301.57 crore from INR 284.25 crore. EBITDA rose to INR 164.90 crore from INR 146.81 crore, and the EBITDA margin expanded to 54.68 percent from 51.65 percent.
Finance costs remain material
The earnings improvement does not remove the balance-sheet burden. Finance costs reached INR 206.09 crore in Q1 FY27, exceeding the quarterly net loss by INR 133.94 crore and showing why interest expense remains a major constraint on bottom-line recovery.
The same ScanX News report said the company repaid commercial papers worth INR 1,245 crore during the quarter, leaving INR 1,425 crore outstanding as of June 30, 2026. Net worth stood at negative INR 20,055.53 crore, while a holding-company support letter covered potential liquidity shortfalls for the following 12 months.
Enterprise demand offers a counterweight
Tata Tele Business Services operates across connectivity, cloud, security, collaboration and marketing solutions for business customers. A September 16, 2026 study covered by ScanX News found that 84 percent of Indian small and medium enterprises planned to increase cybersecurity investment, giving the company a measurable demand theme in one of its service areas.
That survey also found that only 28 percent of respondents had made structural security improvements after a cyber incident. For Tata Tele, the gap supports demand for integrated services, but the Q1 finance-cost figure shows that revenue expansion must continue alongside debt and liquidity management.
Stock stays below yearly high
Tata Tele stock traded between INR 33.92 and INR 34.43 on October 6, 2026, with volume of 1,250,539 shares. Its 52-week range was INR 31.22 to INR 60.08, placing the last price INR 25.90 below the high and INR 2.96 above the low.
