Troilus Mining stock was last at CAD 1.86 on the TSX on October 6, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. ET, up 3.91 percent from the prior close. As The Northern Miner reported on October 2, 2026, a credit-approved debt commitment has moved the Quebec copper-gold project closer to its planned funding package.

USD 850 million commitment

GlobeNewswire reported on September 28, 2026, that KfW IPEX-Bank and Societe Generale agreed to underwrite USD 850 million in senior secured debt. The commitment forms part of a planned USD 1.1 billion package, including a proposed USD 250 million contribution from Export Development Canada that remains subject to final approvals.

The financing is a meaningful project milestone because the debt has moved from a mandate to credit-approved underwriting commitments. Final documentation, lender due diligence, regulatory approvals and the broader financing package still stand between the commitment and financial close.

Project value rises sharply

The updated technical report gives the project an after-tax NPV of USD 3.2 billion, a 22 percent after-tax internal rate of return and a 3.6-year payback period. The plan describes a 26-year open-pit operation with a 50,000-tonne-per-day processing rate, according to the company release carried by BNN Bloomberg on September 10, 2026.

The latest mine plan contains 478 million proven and probable tonnes grading 0.44 gram of gold per tonne, 0.05 percent copper and 0.92 gram of silver per tonne. The Northern Miner reported that the reserve tonnage is 26 percent larger than in the 2024 feasibility study, while the earlier study showed an after-tax NPV of USD 884.5 million and a 14 percent internal rate of return.

Stock remains below yearly high

TLG traded between CAD 1.73 and CAD 1.89 during the October 6 session. Its 52-week range is CAD 1.20 to CAD 2.47, placing the latest price CAD 0.61 below the yearly high, while volume reached 5,610,809 shares.

The market capitalization stood at CAD 981.6 million on October 6, 2026. For investors, the central question is whether the USD 850 million commitment can be converted into the full USD 1.1 billion financing package required for construction.
