Payment starts platform development

The unit is intended to serve as a reference for equipment fitment, service access and assembly sequence before a broader production rollout.

TerraPod is designed to combine computing, power distribution, cooling, communications, systems control and fire suppression in factory-built modular units. Workhorse said the platform is intended to shorten deployment timelines compared with conventional data center construction.

Potential order remains conditional

The companies also signed a non-binding letter of intent and are targeting a definitive supply agreement by December 31, 2026. The proposed framework includes expanded joint engineering, milestone-based prepayments and a US right of first refusal for Workhorse on future RHAELM projects.

A potential initial order for 150 TerraPod systems depends on the supply agreement, RHAELM's acceptance of the co-developed platform, definitive documentation and required internal approvals. Workhorse believes TerraPod production could begin in late 2027 or early 2028, but the announcement does not make that timeline or the contemplated order binding.
