Broadwind Energy Charts Course for Sustained Expansion
10.02.2026 - 08:21:03Broadwind Energy is laying the groundwork for a transformative 2026, with strategic moves designed to fuel long-term growth. Although the sale of a business unit will temporarily reduce top-line revenue figures, company leadership anticipates a significant operational leap forward. The critical question for investors is whether newly secured financial flexibility can sustainably accelerate this upward trajectory.
A surge in demand, particularly within the power generation segment, is providing strong momentum. In 2025, orders in this division soared by more than 70% year-over-year. This includes a substantial $11 million order from a global wind turbine manufacturer secured in October, which is scheduled for complete fulfillment within the first quarter of 2026.
The company's preliminary figures for 2025 indicate a net profit ranging between $4.7 million and $5.7 million, with adjusted EBITDA expected to reach up to $9 million. While a raw material supply constraint slightly impacted the fourth quarter, management expects this issue to be resolved by the end of Q1 2026.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Broadwind Energy?
For the current fiscal year, Broadwind has set a revenue target of $140 million to $150 million. This represents an apparent decline from the preliminary 2025 revenue of $155 million to $160 million. However, this dip is a direct result of the strategic divestiture of the Manitowoc facility in September 2025, which contributed approximately $41 million to the previous year’s total. When adjusted for this one-time effect, the company forecasts organic revenue growth exceeding 20% for 2026.
Enhanced Financial Flexibility to Fuel Ambitions
To underpin its growth strategy, Broadwind has successfully renegotiated its credit agreement with Wells Fargo. The amended terms provide greater leeway by relaxing certain financial covenants through the end of 2026 and offering improved treatment for capital expenditures in key calculations. This strengthened balance sheet is intended to support initiatives in product innovation, selective acquisitions, and potential share repurchases.
Investors can expect further details on the operational roadmap when Broadwind releases its final Q4 and full-year 2025 results on March 11, 2026. This will be accompanied by an investor conference where management will elaborate on plans to execute its 2026 objectives.
