A prototype for smart glasses that can read electricity meter displays in milliseconds — even in dim light and without any internet connection — has passed validation testing by a research institute affiliated with China Southern Power Grid. According to industry reports from June 21, 2026, Apple’s first smart glasses — code-named Project N50 — will not launch before the end of 2027.
