The coming days will determine the next chapter for Singulus Technologies. A Chinese anchor investor is offloading its entire position in an all-or-nothing block sale, while a second institutional investor has already pulled cash off the table at the stock's highest point. The convergence of these events, against a backdrop of an extraordinary 637% year-to-date rally, has created a high-stakes moment for the solar and semiconductor equipment maker.

Triumph Science and Technology Group launched a ten-day bidding process on July 3 for its 1.5 million shares, representing roughly 16.75% of Singulus' outstanding equity. Crucially, the package must go to a single buyer. The deadline falls on July 13, and the outcome will directly reshape the company's shareholder base. Market participants are watching closely to see whether a credible strategic investor steps forward or the process fails to attract a taker, potentially triggering a sharp pullback.

Just one day before the tender opened, the fund manager Universal-Investment Luxembourg S.A. reduced its holding below the 5% disclosure threshold for the first time. A regulatory filing dated July 2 shows the stake slipped to 4.84% from 5.19%. The timing was striking: the trade coincided with Singulus hitting a new 52-week high of €11.10. The stock closed the week at €10.80, just off that peak, after a blistering seven-day gain of 42.48% and a 30-day advance of 71.43%.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Singulus?

Those price moves have pushed the shares deep into technically stretched territory. The 14-day relative strength index stands at 86.0, well above the 70 level that signals overbought conditions. Annualized 30-day volatility has surged to 94.33%, underscoring the wild swings that have characterized recent sessions. The equity now trades 271.92% above its 200-day moving average of roughly €2.90, a gap that rarely persists without some form of mean reversion.

Underpinning the rally, however, are genuine operational improvements. After a difficult 2025 that saw revenue of €48.3 million and an EBIT loss of €11.7 million, the first quarter of 2026 delivered a clear rebound. Sales rose by one-third to €21.8 million, while EBIT swung to a positive €2.2 million. Order intake exploded from €6.4 million to €28.8 million, driven by demand for perovskite tandem solar cell manufacturing equipment and follow-on orders in the semiconductor and microLED segments. Management has guided for full-year revenue of around €83 million and a low single-digit million positive EBIT.

Yet the ownership picture remains unsettled. Aside from the Triumph sell-down, an earlier administrative court case involving sanctions was dismissed by the Frankfurt court, though observers note the matter continues to overhang sentiment. The combined effect of a departing anchor shareholder, profit-taking by a fund manager, and an overheated chart has made Singulus one of the most volatile names on the market. For traders, the next few sessions will reveal whether a new strategic backer steps in to stabilize the story — or whether the technical warning signs finally catch up with the price.
