The Swedish photonics and RF specialist Sivers Semiconductors is pressing ahead with plans for a secondary listing in the United States, even as its shares endure some of the most violent price swings seen among European semiconductor names this year. The stock has more than halved over the past month, extending a retreat that now stands at roughly 60% from its 52-week peak of €10.23, reached on 3 June 2026.

On Monday, the equity changed hands at €4.04, a decline of 5.04% on the day and down from the previous Friday’s close of €4.25. The sell-off has been unusually sharp: annualised 30-day volatility has been measured at 155.26% by one calculation, while another estimate pushes the figure above 220%. The current price sits well below the 50-day moving average of €6.21 (primary) or €6.23 (secondary), confirming the depth of the retreat.

New Reporting Calendar Aligns with US Standards

Against this turbulent backdrop, Sivers announced on 9 July 2026 an overhaul of its financial reporting timetable. The company has pushed back its quarterly publication dates to bring its accounting processes in line with the US Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards — a prerequisite for any company seeking a US listing.

The half-year report for the second quarter will now be released on 27 August 2026, followed by the third-quarter update on 26 November 2026. The full-year figures for 2026 are scheduled for 25 February 2027. Management described the change as a commitment to “greater accuracy and transparency” in financial reporting.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Sivers Semiconductors?

CEO Vickram Vathulya noted that robust compliance structures are essential for the company’s growth ambitions in markets such as AI data centres, satellite communications, defence and telecoms — all areas where Sivers’ laser and RF beamforming technologies are gaining traction.

Wild Recovery from March Trough

The recent weakness belies an extraordinary rally that began in March 2026. On 3 March 2026, the stock touched an all-time low of just €0.27. In the following three months it rocketed more than 1,400%, reaching that June high of €10.23. Even after the latest tumble, the share price remains over 1,500% above that March nadir.

The relative strength index (RSI) currently stands at 38, indicating oversold conditions but not necessarily a floor for the stock. The company’s market capitalisation has shrunk to roughly €1.24bn.

Sivers Semiconductors at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

Next Catalyst in August

With no other major corporate events on the horizon until the August quarterly release, investors are left to gauge whether the revised reporting calendar alone can restore confidence. The 27 August interim report will be the first test of the new schedule — and the first opportunity for management to demonstrate that the move toward US listing standards is more than a procedural change.
