Tudor Gold shares surged on Friday as the Canadian explorer advanced its flagship Treaty Creek project with both conventional drilling results and a novel artificial intelligence initiative. The stock jumped more than 10% to €0.57, although some reports pegged the gain at roughly 7% to €0.56. Either way, the move snapped the equity back to its 50-day moving average, leaving it almost 48% below the 52-week high of €1.10 touched in January.

The company confirmed that metallurgical tests from the Golden Triangle property in British Columbia came back positive, with drilling continuing on schedule. Separately, Tudor Gold announced it will deploy AI in the third quarter to identify high-priority mineralisation zones. The machine-learning analysis will comb through existing exploration data and geological models, aiming to target drill holes more precisely for both the current programme and the next campaign. This approach could accelerate the delineation of the massive Goldstorm deposit, which holds proven resources of 24.9?million ounces of gold, 148.7?million ounces of silver and over three?billion pounds of copper, plus a further 4.0?million ounces of gold in the inferred category.

Behind the rally also sat a powerful macro tailwind. Gold blasted above $4,170 an ounce after disappointing US jobs data for June – only 57,000 new positions versus the 110,000 expected. The miss revived bets on Federal Reserve rate cuts, a scenario to which Tudor Gold, with a beta of 1.79, is acutely sensitive. The stock’s RSI of 57.8 (or 55 in some readings) suggests upward momentum without overheating. With a market cap of around CAD 361?million, it remains a sizeable junior explorer.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Tudor Gold Corp A?

Looking ahead, the company plans to build an underground ramp in the second half of 2026, provided permits come through – a key step toward evaluating underground mining potential. An updated resource estimate and a preliminary economic assessment are also due this year. The next catalyst, however, will be fresh drill results from Treaty Creek, where neighbour Oreterra Metals is also mobilising rigs for the summer season. On a year-to-date basis, Tudor Gold has gained 72%, but volatility remains the name of the game: high risk, high reward, and a lot riding on what the drills and the algorithms turn up next.
