Institutional demand for XRP exchange-traded funds continues to confound a market that has left the token's spot price largely unmoved. Data from CoinGlass shows the combined market capitalisation of all XRP ETF products has climbed to $690 million, driven by eight consecutive weeks of positive net inflows. The persistent buying has yet to translate into a decisive breakout for the cryptocurrency itself, which trades at $1.14 — a modest recovery from its 52-week low of $1.01 set in late June.

The largest XRP-focused funds command the bulk of those assets. The Bitwise XRP ETF (1XRP) leads with $245.31 million under management, followed by the Canary XRP ETF (2XRPC) at $225.91 million and the Franklin XRP ETF (3XRPZ) at $167.87 million. Across all US-listed spot XRP ETFs, total assets under management now exceed $1 billion, representing roughly 771.65 million XRP tokens. Cumulative net inflows into the product class stand at approximately $1.47 billion.

The flows stand out against a backdrop of broad market weakness. Bitcoin spot ETFs shed $526 million in the past week, while Ethereum products lost $14 million. XRP and Solana bucked the trend, together attracting $49 million in fresh capital. Solana alone recorded a single-day net inflow of 77,070 SOL on June 29, signalling that institutional buyers are rotating into alternative digital assets.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying XRP?

Despite the steady ETF accumulation, XRP’s price action remains technically fragile. The token sits below all major moving averages: the 50-day line is at $1.20 and the 200-day average is at $1.48. The relative strength index of 51.9 points to a neutral market, with neither overbought nor oversold conditions. On a weekly basis, XRP has gained 8.73 percent, and the 30-day change is a modest 4 percent positive. But the longer-term picture is stark: the token is down 39.25 percent year-to-date and 48.6 percent over the past twelve months. From its 2025 peak of $3.65 recorded in July, it has fallen nearly 69 percent.

Traders are watching the $1.00 level closely. A dense zone of buy orders between $1.00 and $1.06 has so far prevented a deeper slide. A daily close below the psychological support could open the door to a drop toward $0.80. On the upside, the 50-day moving average at $1.20 represents the first major hurdle; analysts warn that a failure to break through could trigger a medium-term sell signal.

Beneath the surface, the XRP ecosystem is showing signs of expanding activity. Roughly 5,000 new wallets are being created on the network each day. Meanwhile, Ripple’s native stablecoin, RLUSD, now has $810 million worth of tokens distributed on the XRP Ledger, surpassing the amount held on the competing Ethereum blockchain. The shift reflects growing on-chain engagement and could support further institutional interest.

Macroeconomic developments may provide the next catalyst. Weak US jobs data has already buoyed the broader crypto market, and Citigroup now expects the Federal Reserve to deliver its first rate cut as early as October. All eyes are on the US inflation release scheduled for July 14. A softer-than-expected reading would likely strengthen the case for lower rates, rekindling risk appetite across digital assets. Until then, the $1.20 technical ceiling is likely to hold as the key battleground for XRP traders.
