Airbus handed over 74 aircraft to 45 customers in October, lifting its ten-month delivery total to 621 jets, the European planemaker said. Gross orders for the month reached 202, bringing the year-to-date gross order intake to 1,376. The two figures measure different things: bookings count gross orders placed, while deliveries track aircraft already handed to customers.

Nine-Month Revenue at EUR 50.6 Billion

The operational update lands alongside the financial framework Airbus published on 28 October, covering the first nine months of 2026. Revenue came in at EUR 50.6 billion, with net profit of EUR 3.59 billion.

On the military side, France's procurement agency DGA qualified the vertical take-off and landing version of Airbus Helicopters' U010 Aliaca drone on Tuesday, clearing the way for its deployment under the French Navy's SMDM contract. Airbus said the first two systems had already been delivered to the Navy in September.

Galileo Satellites and a Medevac Helicopter Haul

Space work also moved forward. On 27 October Airbus won an order to build two more second-generation Galileo satellites, adding to an existing booking for six.

The same day brought commitments from two aviation customers. Atlantic Airways placed a firm order for two A320neo jets, while Boston MedFlight signed for three H145 helicopters — taking its total H145 purchases to twelve, according to Airbus.

A day earlier, on 26 October, Life Flight Network ordered five H135 helicopters.

Pilot Training Deal Targets India

Airbus and India's Blue Angels Air signed an agreement on pilot training, with Blue Angels Air set to handle ab initio instruction within the Airbus Flight Academy network. The first cadets are due to begin training in Tunisia in 2027, Airbus said, and the arrangement is aimed squarely at the Indian market.

The training tie-up follows Monday's expansion of the Skywise portfolio, which added digital flight-training products including the MATe Suite, the Virtual Procedure Trainer and Flight eLearning.

A350 Component Venture With Air France-KLM

In the aftermarket business, Airbus and Air France-KLM set up a joint venture on 28 October called Alpha Component Solutions, split evenly between the two partners. The company provides component support for the A350 worldwide and, by its own account, services more than 500 aircraft under contract.
