Jefferies analyst Philip Kett raised his Allianz price target from EUR 420 to EUR 440, keeping Hold, as India JV proceeds go into fixed-income securities.

Allianz is putting the cash generated by its Indian joint venture to work in fixed-income securities, a reallocation that prompted Jefferies analyst Philip Kett to raise his price target on the Munich-based insurer from EUR 420 to EUR 440 while keeping a "Hold" rating on the stock. The proceeds from the venture are being channelled into interest-bearing paper, a move that broadens the group's earnings base beyond its core underwriting operations.

Investors gave the shares a modest lift. The stock changed hands at EUR 419.20 on the day of the Jefferies note, a gain of 0.7%, and was quoted at EUR 418.70 on the following Friday, up 0.6% for that session. That leaves the paper roughly 7.9% below its 52-week high of EUR 454.50.

Leadership Handover Across Life, Health and Beyond

Alongside the portfolio decisions, Allianz is resetting responsibilities across several operating units. Sören Kupke will take charge of distribution at Allianz Lebensversicherungs-AG and broker sales at Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG effective 1 January 2027, succeeding Thomas Wiesemann, who will step down from the boards of both entities on 31 December 2026 and retire as planned. Kupke's appointment remains subject to the customary regulatory clearance check.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Allianz?

Further changes were set in motion in early October. Philipp Kroetz becomes CEO of Allianz Partners on 1 November 2026, while Laurent Floquet takes the helm at Allianz Direct. Tomas Kunzmann is slated to join the board of Allianz SE on 1 January 2027. At the Swiss subsidiary Allianz Suisse, Dr. Verena Jäger will succeed Monika Behr on the same date.

Legal Advice Line and Hospital Cover Broaden the Retail Push

On the product side, Allianz Versicherungs-AG unveiled an offering aimed at consumers who do not hold a conventional legal protection policy. For EUR 8.90 a year, customers who sign up online gain access to as many as two telephone consultations with external partner lawyers — a low-threshold play to bind mass-market clients more closely to the brand.

The initiative is flanked by the "MeinKrankenhausschutz" tariff introduced on 1 October by Allianz Private Krankenversicherungs-AG. The hospital cover comes in three tiers, and existing policyholders can, under certain conditions, switch into the new terms without undergoing a fresh health assessment.

Community Study and the November Print

Allianz also presented the findings of its international "Sense of Community" study, which examined public trust across five countries. Hard numbers on the business itself arrive on 12 November 2026, when the group publishes third-quarter results. That report will show how strongly new business in the life and health divisions has fed through to the figures.
