Antimony Resources Drills 11.41% Antimony at Bald Hill, But New Central Zone Discovery Could Be the Real Story
Published on 07/31/2026 at 00:30 | Redaktion boerse-global.deAntimony Resources delivered what it calls some of the highest-grade antimony intercepts ever recorded in North America on Thursday, yet the market response was anything but enthusiastic. The junior explorer, which trades on the CSE under ATMY, on the OTCQB as ATMYF, and in Frankfurt as K8J0, reported assays from its Bald Hill project in New Brunswick that would make most mining executives envious — but the stock barely budged, inching up just 1.61 percent to €0.2530.
The disconnect between operational success and market reception has become a recurring theme for this Vancouver-based company, which rebranded from Big Red Mining Corp in March. Shares have shed roughly 10.8 percent over the past seven trading days and now sit 76.47 percent below the 52-week high of €1.05 reached in March, despite a steady stream of positive drill results.
Bonanza-Grade Intercepts in the Main Zone
The headline result came from hole BH-26-14 in the Main Zone, which intersected 11.41 percent antimony over 1.55 meters within a broader 11.3-meter interval averaging 2.78 percent antimony. That same section also returned 0.41 grams per tonne gold, with individual sub-intervals exceeding 1 gram per tonne. A second mineralized zone deeper in the hole, between 165.35 and 168 meters, delivered 7.48 percent antimony over 2.65 meters.
Antimony Resources describes Bald Hill as the highest-grade known antimony deposit in North America, with a strike length of 600 meters and depth of 350 meters — both directions remain open for expansion. The Main Zone already carries a conceptual exploration target under NI 43-101 of approximately 2.7 million tonnes grading between 3 and 4 percent antimony, though the company stresses this remains a conceptual estimate rather than a defined resource.

Central Zone Emerges as a Potential Game-Changer
While the Main Zone results grab headlines, the more significant development may be unfolding 200 meters to the south. The company has identified a new Central Zone, where six drill holes between 100 and 150 meters depth intersected stibnite breccias geologically similar to the Main Zone mineralization.
Hole BHC-26-03 cut three separate stibnite breccia zones spanning a combined 35 meters. Assay results from the Central Zone are still pending — only geological core descriptions are available so far — but the visual observations align with surface trenching the team previously mapped. If laboratory results confirm the visual findings, the target area at Bald Hill could expand substantially.
Quality control for all samples is being handled by Actlabs, the company said.
Strategic Context and Market Dynamics
The timing of these results is noteworthy. Antimony has gained strategic importance as global supply chains face disruption, particularly since China halted antimony trisulfide exports in 2021. On Wednesday, Perpetua Resources opened a pilot plant for processing antimony trisulfide in partnership with the US Army and the Idaho National Laboratory, underscoring Washington's focus on securing domestic supplies of the critical mineral.
For Antimony Resources, this backdrop adds relevance to its Canadian project. The company says it is fully funded for its ongoing 18,000-meter drilling program, supported by a capital raise completed earlier this year. A formal resource estimate for Bald Hill, incorporating the latest high-grade intercepts, is expected later in the summer.

Technical Picture and What Comes Next
From a chart perspective, the stock's 14-day RSI sits at 34.6, hovering near oversold territory. The sharp decline from March highs stands in stark contrast to the improving operational narrative, suggesting the market may be waiting for more concrete catalysts before re-rating the stock.
The most immediate catalyst lies in the pending Central Zone assays. Should those results confirm the visual observations of stibnite breccias across multiple holes, Bald Hill's footprint would expand meaningfully beyond the Main Zone. For now, investors are left watching drill rigs turn and waiting for the lab to deliver the next chapter in this story.
