BenQ's New 27-Inch Display Aims to Declutter the Creative Desk

A single cable that carries video, data, and enough power to charge a laptop — that's the pitch behind BenQ's latest addition to its professional monitor lineup. The PD2732U, available since early August, targets photo editors and graphic designers who juggle multiple devices and demand precise color reproduction.
The 4K panel (3840 x 2160 pixels) covers 99 percent of both the AdobeRGB and Display-P3 color spaces, according to the manufacturer. For web and video work, it hits 100 percent of sRGB and Rec.709. Each unit ships factory-calibrated with a Delta-E value of 2 or less, and carries certifications from Calman and Pantone — credentials that signal reliability for color-critical workflows.
Beyond the display itself, BenQ has focused on reducing desk clutter. The Thunderbolt 4 port delivers up to 90 watts of power delivery to connected laptops, eliminating the need for a separate charger. A built-in KVM switch lets users control two computers with a single mouse and keyboard, with both sources displayed on the same screen. That setup cuts down on the physical shuffling that typically comes with switching between workstations.
Retail pricing lands at approximately 749 euros, positioning the monitor in the mid-range of the professional display market.
That price point stands in sharp contrast to some recent competitors. Dell's UltraSharp U3226Q, reviewed in recent days, pairs a 31.5-inch OLED panel with an integrated colorimeter and carries a price tag of around 2,400 euros. Asus targets the premium tier with its ProArt PA32UCDMR — a 32-inch OLED model offering 104 percent DCI-P3 coverage and 96-watt charging over Thunderbolt 4, listed at 1,900 US dollars.
The market also shows growing diversity at the edges. Portable options like the Asus ZenScreen MQ16FC provide a 16-inch OLED display with 1920 x 1200 resolution for roughly 299.90 euros. Meanwhile, high-refresh-rate gaming displays such as the Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDPR push 500 Hz, and large-format models like the 49-inch QD-OLED HMX 6 continue to expand what's possible for specialized professional setups.
