Circus SE has crossed its first border outside Europe, launching commercial operations in the United Arab Emirates through a partnership with catering firm Royal Prestige. The move gives the German food-robotics company a foothold in the Gulf and a route to institutional clients in a fast-growing economic region.

Trading in the stock reflected the news, though the two sessions told slightly different stories. Shares jumped 7.0% to EUR 1.76 following the operational start, a gain that lifted the company's market capitalisation to EUR 44.17 million. The advance came after a prolonged stretch of weakness in the share price.

A Catering Partner With Reach Into Ministries and ADNOC

The Gulf rollout rests on a tie-up with Royal Prestige, which produces more than three million meals a year. Its client list runs from government ministries and the armed forces to the royal palace and the energy group ADNOC — a roster that hands Circus access to large institutional buyers rather than retail-facing channels.

Abu Dhabi is only the entry point. Management has set its sights on neighbouring Dubai, and the plan calls for Circus Pods to be manufactured locally down the line. The partners have scheduled an official launch event for 6 October 2026 to present the offering on the ground.

Full-Year Targets Cut Hard After Delivery Slippage

The international push lands against a backdrop of sharply reduced expectations at home. On 16 July, management slashed its revenue forecast for full-year 2026 from a prior range of EUR 44 million to EUR 55 million down to EUR 5.2 million. The company had posted revenue of EUR 1.6 million a year earlier.

The revision followed a decision to push planned system deliveries into 2027, prioritising operational scalability over near-term top-line recognition. The expected loss widened in parallel: the EBITDA outlook for 2026 was raised from a deficit of EUR 6 million to EUR 8 million to a loss of EUR 17 million. In the prior year, EBITDA came in at minus EUR 18.8 million.

Conference Circuit to Woo Institutional Money

With capital-market confidence in need of shoring up, CEO Nikolas Bullwinkel on Monday unveiled a conference schedule for the coming months. He is set to present at Bank of America's Transforming World Conference on 10 November and at Goldman Sachs' AI Symposium in London on 25 November, with further capital-market appearances also planned. His talks centre on developments in dual-use robotics and Physical AI.

Circus at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

The outreach follows a run of corporate news that had weighed on the shares, standing in contrast to the strategic steps taken over recent weeks. Alongside the commercial rollout of the Circus Pods, the company has made personnel changes: a senior executive was appointed to the supervisory board roughly a month ago, after an insider purchase by a CEO was reported more than a month earlier.
