CSG's ammunition works in Granada is back at full operation, but the legal fallout from the blast that tore through the site on 30 October is only beginning to take shape. Local technicians and worker representatives carried out checks on potentially affected equipment before production resumed, according to media reports on Tuesday. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.

A court in Granada confirmed on Friday that it will look into the explosion, meaning the company now faces judicial scrutiny alongside the operational restart. CSG has said the blast occurred in the demilitarisation area of the Fábrica de Municiones de Granada facility. Two people suffered minor hearing injuries. The group reported no damage to production equipment and said it does not expect any long-term impact on output — an assessment that comes from CSG itself.

A Framework Worth $4.2 Billion — Shared Among Many

Separately, the group moved to clarify the scope of a US Army modernisation programme after its US subsidiary, MSM North America, was named one of the contractors eligible to compete for work under it. The multiple-award task order contract runs five years and covers seven ammunition sites. The roughly $4.2 billion ceiling applies to the entire framework and to all selected contractors collectively — it is not an order of that size placed with CSG.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying CSG?

Individual project awards will be competed separately, and the selection guarantees MSM North America neither specific task orders nor any particular volume of work. CSG did not disclose a concretely assigned contract value. For investors, the distinction is between permission to bid and work actually won: the programme total is not revenue assured to CSG.

Shares slipped 1.5% on Friday, a move from which no reaction to the company announcement can be inferred.
