Graphene Manufacturing Group Ships First Battery Cells to Prospective Buyers
Published on 10/26/2026 at 16:20 | Editorial boerse-global.deGraphene Manufacturing Group has begun putting its battery technology into the hands of outsiders. On Wednesday the company confirmed it has started dispatching pre-commercial G®CELLS pouch cells to potential customers for initial performance testing, with more than 100 cells expected to go out by the end of the year.
The samples carry a capacity of roughly 1.5 Ah and are meant to give interested parties an early read on how the cells perform. Target applications include the defence sector and heavy mobile machinery. Graphene Manufacturing Group was explicit that these are pre-commercial units only — they are not intended for use in commercial products, and the technology still sits at development readiness level BTRL 4.
Lab Data Precedes Customer Trials
The shipment marks the first time the cells will be assessed outside the company's own facilities. Just over three weeks ago, Graphene Manufacturing Group published fresh laboratory results showing high energy efficiency at elevated charge and discharge rates, with no performance degradation across numerous cycles under a six-minute charge-discharge profile. Those figures came from the lab rather than from customer testing.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Graphene Manufacturing Group?
The Wednesday announcement covers the start of distribution; the bulk of the shipments still lies ahead. Separately, the stock gave up 1.7% on Friday, closing the trading week in negative territory.
Motocross Champion Backs Lubricant Line
Beyond the battery programme, Graphene Manufacturing Group named nine-time motocross world champion Antonio Cairoli as brand ambassador for its G® LUBRICANT graphene oil additive on 19 October. Cairoli will support development for motorcycles and off-road applications. The company noted that off-road and racing uses in particular require further testing and validation, and framed the announcement as development work rather than a commercial order.
Graphene Manufacturing Group also confirmed it will exhibit at EICMA in Milan from 3 to 8 November 2026, pairing the trade-fair announcement with an invitation to visitors. Both the Cairoli partnership and the EICMA appearance fall under the company's stated activities around continued development of the lubricant for motorcycle and off-road use.
