Roughly 75 HR professionals from the Münsterland region gathered in Münster on 14 October 2026 to compare notes on modern people management. The venue was AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, and the event was staged by Onboarding@Münsterland, an employer network run by Münsterland e.V.

Practical answers dominated the agenda: how firms can strip complexity out of internal workflows, keep employees healthy and reach young recruits early. Regionalupdate.de reported on the meeting on 19 October 2026.

Less admin, more strategy

Restructuring the HR department itself emerged as a key talking point. Holger Hinz, head of HR at host company AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG, argued that personnel work must in future be handled with noticeably less effort.

Clear, well-organised processes, dependable access to the relevant knowledge and the targeted use of modern tools such as artificial intelligence are the levers he pointed to. Cutting administrative load, in his view, is what frees up room for HR to advise the workforce strategically.

A health week, a smoothie bike and a skin check

Employee wellbeing formed the second pillar of the exchange. Representatives of Sahle Baubetreuungsgesellschaft presented measures already running inside their own business.

Gerburgis Niehaus and Katharina Matzker explained that the company holds an annual health week in cooperation with a health insurer. The programme pairs medical prevention — hearing tests and skin screenings among them — with easy-access activities, including a smoothie bike. The aim is to anchor prevention and wellbeing firmly in company culture.

Digital tools aimed at new talent

Recruitment also had its slot. Student Konrad Grunwald showed participants two digital offerings: a digital first-semester bag and a regional job board.

Both are designed to make it easier for students and young talent to enter the labour market, and to deepen contact between young people and regional employers at an early stage.

Why the region keeps talking

The Münster meeting illustrated how tightly work organisation, workplace health promotion and staff retention are interlinked. Onboarding@Münsterland gives companies in the region a regular platform for presenting working practice examples and learning from one another.

With the labour market demanding more of employers, health-promoting measures and more efficient workflows are gaining weight as ways to sustain employees' capacity over the long term.
