Lenzing used the quiet Thursday before a downbeat Friday to publish the ownership map that follows its recent capital increase. The headline item: Suzano Holding S.A. now holds roughly 0.80% of the company directly — a slice that is not counted toward the syndicate formed by the B&C Group and Suzano S.A., which continues to command about 52.25% of voting rights.

The disclosure lands roughly two weeks after the cash call closed. Goldman Sachs Group appears with 5.86% of the shares, and Lenzing put total voting rights at 73,374,542, against share capital of EUR 76,204,702.90.

What the raise actually delivered

The fully guaranteed transaction had been announced with a targeted gross proceeds figure of around EUR 300 million; Reuters reported a final tally of EUR 301.2 million. Take-up came in at 99.0% on the preliminary reading, with 34,411,626 new shares subscribed via rights. The syndicate participated as well, and the consortium banks were to place any unsubscribed stock on the market at no less than the subscription price of EUR 8.65 per share.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Lenzing?

Lenzing intends to channel the proceeds into its "Grow Nonwovens, Reset Textiles" strategy and to shore up its capital structure.

Friday's tape

The equity gave up 2.5% on Friday to close at EUR 10.80. The drag was broad rather than company-specific: APA pointed to rising oil and gas prices and weak leads from international technology stocks weighing on the Vienna exchange.

Heiligenkreuz: a plant sale in the making

Separately, the previously flagged delay to the planned closure of the Heiligenkreuz site remains part of the picture. Instead of shutting at the end of 2026, the plant is now slated to close in the first quarter of 2027, per an ORF report. Lenzing attributed the shift to the transfer of production to other sites. Roughly 30 interested parties are in talks over a possible takeover of the facility.

Investors get their next hard look at the numbers on 5 November 2026, when Lenzing publishes third-quarter results in a window scheduled for 15:00–16:00 CET.
