Lenzing has confirmed the formal state of its share capital following the completion of its recent cash call, reporting 73,374,542 voting rights as of the end of October. The fibre maker's subscribed capital stands at EUR 76,204,702.90, according to the mandatory disclosure, with the change effective from 22 October.

The update caps a busy fortnight for the Austrian company, which closed a rights issue roughly two weeks ago. Lenzing issued 34,756,362 new shares in the transaction, of which 34,411,626 were taken up under subscription rights — a take-up rate of 99%. The shares were priced at EUR 8.65 apiece, generating gross proceeds of about EUR 301.2 million. Management intends to deploy the funds toward executing its strategy and reinforcing the balance sheet.

Syndicate Holds Firm as Suzano Adds Direct Stake

The anchor shareholder bloc of B&C Group and Suzano S.A. continues to command around 52.25% of voting rights. Suzano Holding S.A. picked up a direct stake of roughly 0.80% in Lenzing through the capital increase. Goldman Sachs Group holds 5.86%, while NN Group reported a 4.27% equity voting interest on 23 October.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Lenzing?

Several filings have landed in the wake of the raise. Supervisory board member Georg Kasperkovitz acquired shares on 23 October through the rights offering, and Christian Skilich reported a purchase the same day. Oberbank also added to its holding by exercising subscription rights. Separately, B&C KB Holding disclosed the pledging of 8,689,086 Lenzing shares, a transaction dated 23 October as well.

Analysts Trim Target, Keep Neutral Rating

Deutsche Bank lowered its price target on the stock while reaffirming a "Hold" rating — the target cut did not come with a downgrade. Lenzing shares were up 2.6% in Friday trading, extending a gain of 3.3% seen earlier in the week.

Investors now turn to the company's next scheduled announcement: third-quarter 2026 results, due on 5 November according to Lenzing's financial calendar.
