Li-FT Power Balances Québec Assays Against Alberta Conversion Study as Shares Edge Higher
Published on 10/28/2026 at 11:41 | Editorial boerse-global.deLi-FT Power is running a twin-track work programme across northern Canada, pairing hard drill results from Québec with early-stage planning for a lithium carbonate conversion facility in Alberta. The dual focus emerged in media reports on 21 October, the same day the company confirmed a change to its Australian corporate footprint. Ahead of the open, the stock was up 2.0% at €0.9280.
First assays from a 45-hole campaign
At the Adina-Galinée lithium project in Québec, Li-FT Power has released initial assay results covering five of the 45 holes drilled. The batch forms part of the summer drilling programme and represents only a slice of the data the company ultimately intends to feed into two key deliverables: a mineral resource estimate and a preliminary economic assessment, both targeted for early 2027.
Among the headline intersections, hole ALP0002 returned 56 metres grading 1.43% lithium oxide. Management reads the results as support for its own interpretation of a large, continuous system of spodumene-bearing pegmatites — a geological assessment rather than an economic one.
The company puts the full scope of the programme, inclusive of historical drilling, at 13,403.5 metres. That figure therefore stretches beyond the 2026 summer campaign alone. Li-FT Power has said the broader dataset, not just the latest assays, will underpin the resource estimate and the preliminary economic review.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Li-FT Power?
Scoping work on an Alberta conversion plant
Separately, a preliminary study is examining a proposed facility in Alberta that would convert lithium concentrate into lithium carbonate. The investigation carries the character of a scoping study; the plant itself remains at the planning stage.
At the Yellowknife Lithium Project, meanwhile, work continues on several fronts at once — exploration of the deposit, definition of resources and economic assessment. The Yellowknife report thus spans both the geological and the financial sides of the asset.
Australian address updated
A further company notice concerns its Australian presence. Effective 21 October, Li-FT Power changed its registered business address in the country to that of its appointed local representative, Belltree Corporate Pty Ltd. The new address is 25 Blair Road, Yokine WA 6060. The disclosure covers the registered seat in Australia and the local representation arrangement with Belltree Corporate.
Li-FT Power at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
Shares advance in a firmer materials tape
The stock climbed 3.2% in the prior session to close at €0.9100, building on momentum as resource names led gainers in Canadian equity trading, according to media reports, with the materials sector also moving higher. The early pre-market gain on 21 October extended that run.
For investors, the near-term calendar remains anchored to the early-2027 release of the Adina-Galinée mineral resource estimate and preliminary economic assessment — the next dated milestone the company has publicly named.
