LVMH shares have climbed 7.0% over the past seven trading days, a move that coincided with a rebound across the European luxury sector. The advance came as the group pressed ahead on several fronts — staging its latest artificial-intelligence showcase in Paris, lodging a regulatory disclosure on its own share dealings, and continuing to contest its role in a French criminal investigation tied to Hermès stock.

A four-day recovery, framed by politics and rotation

The rebound unfolded over four sessions, according to media reports, which linked the gains to a broader rally in luxury equities and a recovery in European stock indices. Investors were also said to be betting that a political shift in the United States could pave the way for steadier international relations — a prospect that would stand to benefit trade and tourism. A rotation away from technology names with AI exposure provided an additional tailwind for LVMH through Thursday, the reports said.

A separate account tied Wednesday's strength in the shares to a recovery in European luxury stocks following the US midterm elections, with media coverage attributing the sector move to reduced political and trade-policy uncertainty.

AI takes centre stage in Paris

On Tuesday, LVMH held the third instalment of its "Business of Tomorrow" series in the French capital. Roughly 350 people attended, according to media reports, with the agenda centred on how artificial intelligence is being applied across the conglomerate's various business lines. The gathering accompanied the continued rollout of the group's "AI for ALL" programme, which LVMH says on its official press page is designed to accelerate its own AI transformation.

AMF disclosure covers late-October dealings

The same day, LVMH filed a notice with the French financial markets authority, the AMF, covering transactions in its own shares between 26 and 30 October. The publication does not specify a final scope for the capital measure. For further detail, the company pointed to its regulated-information section.

Hermès investigation still in the background

Separately, Le Monde reported on 30 October that an investigating judge is examining LVMH's role in Hermès share transactions at the heart of a criminal probe. LVMH has denied intending to acquire Nicolas Puech's stake or knowing that the shares might belong to him. The newspaper had reported a day earlier, on 29 October, that Jean-Jacques Guiony had been questioned as a witness in the proceedings; it described him as a former finance chief and head of Moët-Hennessy. LVMH declined to comment on ongoing legal matters.

Paris backs Champs-Élysées street works

Elsewhere, the Paris city council approved a proposal to fund and manage the redesign of two streets flanking Louis Vuitton's planned flagship near the Champs-Élysées. Media reports said the project has fuelled debate over the influence of private companies on public space. The approval covers the street works around the planned store.
