Marvell Analysts Chase the AI Vision Higher as Targets Jump to $450

Jefferies lifted its Marvell target to $450 and Evercore to $433 after the chipmaker raised fiscal 2028 and 2031 revenue goals at its investor day.

Two of Wall Street's better-known research shops moved in tandem on Tuesday, lifting their price objectives on Marvell Technology after the chipmaker sketched out a far more ambitious revenue map at its investor day. Jefferies raised its target to $450 from $325 while keeping a Buy rating, and Evercore ISI lifted its own to $433 from $275 with an Outperform stance intact.

The stock caught a modest bid in premarket trading, adding 0.7% to change hands at EUR 256.85. That follows a 5.6% surge in the prior session that carried the shares to a close of EUR 255.15, a move attributed chiefly to the upgraded long-range forecasts and helped along by a broadly firmer technology tape.

A Bigger Pie by 2028 — and a Far Bigger One by 2031

At the center of the analysts' enthusiasm sits Marvell's revised outlook. Management now targets roughly $20 billion in revenue for fiscal 2028, up from the $18 billion goal it had set out only in August. The company also raised its revenue objective for custom solutions in fiscal 2029 to more than $12 billion.

The horizon stretches much further, though. For fiscal 2031, Marvell laid out a revenue range of $70 billion to $90 billion alongside adjusted earnings per share — non-GAAP — of $30 or more. Management anchored those figures to the breakneck expansion of the artificial intelligence market, which Marvell sizes at roughly $400 billion in total addressable demand for AI applications by 2030.

Jefferies leaned explicitly on that fiscal 2031 framework, pointing to the connectivity segment's potential as the justification for its richer valuation. Evercore's revision followed the same logic, with both houses rewarding the company's long-term positioning rather than near-term results.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Marvell Technology?

Substrates, a Dividend, and a Routine Insider Sale

Capacity is the quiet prerequisite for all of that growth, and Marvell is moving to secure it. AT&S announced on September 22 an expanded collaboration with the chipmaker aimed at scaling output of advanced IC substrates — the building blocks required for next-generation AI and cloud infrastructure.

On the capital-returns side, the board declared a regular quarterly dividend of $0.06 per share on September 25. Shareholders of record as of October 9, 2026 will receive the payout on October 29, 2026.

A filing also disclosed that a family trust tied to President and COO Chris Koopmans sold 10,000 shares on October 1 under a pre-arranged Rule 10b5-1 trading plan. The manager retains indirect ownership of 207,941 shares following the transaction.

Momentum Meets a High Bar

The rally has narrowed the gap to the 52-week high of EUR 290.35, leaving the stock about 12% below that peak. Since the start of the year, the shares have climbed 250%.

That kind of run leaves little room for error. Celebrating targets set years into the future effectively prices in a largely frictionless execution, and any unexpected slowdown in hyperscaler infrastructure budgets would land hard on a valuation this rich. The distance to those out-year goals is considerable, and a business that must multiply several times over by the start of the next decade offers no cushion for operational disappointment.

Even so, the strategic case remains intact. Marvell's grip on custom silicon for data centers has become central to the AI supply chain, and the steady dividend alongside heavy investment in future chip generations signals both discipline and confidence. For now, the balance of opportunity still tilts toward the specialized data-center chip story — provided the company delivers on the very promises that sent its shares flying.
