OHB Gives Back Rally Gains as Broker Conviction Meets Profit-Taking
Published on 11/01/2026 at 13:31 | Editorial boerse-global.deOHB SE shares shed 9.9% on Friday to close at EUR 222.00, a retreat that media reports attributed to profit-taking following a strong run-up in preceding weeks rather than to any company-specific development. The pullback came despite a pair of bullish broker notes and a clutch of fresh partnership announcements that had otherwise framed the stock's recent momentum.
The decline had been foreshadowed a day earlier, when press coverage flagged intraday losses without any apparent burdening corporate disclosure. Speculation at that stage centred on profit-taking or a technical correction — explanations offered as possibilities, not confirmed causes.
Two Brokers Hold Their Ground
Jefferies reaffirmed its "Buy" rating and EUR 280 price target on Thursday, ahead of the upcoming quarterly figures. Analyst Chloe Lemarie anticipated a continuation of the positive margin trends seen in the first half and viewed OHB as on track to meet its annual targets.
Berenberg had staked out an even more optimistic position on Tuesday, maintaining its "Buy" call with a EUR 358 target. Analyst Michael Filatov read remarks by a Bundeswehr commander on Germany's military space programme as validation of his assessment.

Space Security in Focus
The most recent corporate news came on Wednesday, when OHB and Astroscale Holdings signed a letter of intent to explore potential joint activities in space security, space situational awareness and in-orbit services. The companies disclosed no concrete orders or revenue figures in the announcement; the arrangement covers the examination of possible cooperation rather than agreed joint projects.
A Satellite Communications Bet
An earlier agreement, dated 26 October, brings MediaMobil Communication into OHB's orbit through a strategic partnership. Under a capital increase, OHB is to acquire 25% of MediaMobil's shares. According to the company, the tie-up is intended to strengthen capabilities in satellite communications — a firmer commitment than the exploratory Astroscale talks.
Mainz Test Rig Signed Off
OHB also reported on 22 October the successful completion of the EU-backed Eu-BEST project, which included the commissioning and final acceptance of a modular rocket engine test stand at its Mainz site. The EU supported the venture with EUR 4.96 million, with OHB Digital Connect responsible for the mechanical structures and the development of a thrust measurement system.
