Ondas Holdings Pairs a Ten-a-Month ULTRA Target With a German Airframe Purchase
Published on 11/07/2026 at 18:11 | Editorial boerse-global.deOndas Holdings has moved on two fronts at once, and the pairing matters more than either headline. The company disclosed on Thursday a binding agreement to acquire Germany's Stemme GmbH — 100% of the shares, settled entirely in cash — while setting out plans to lift US output of its ULTRA reconnaissance aircraft to ten units per month by 2028. Read together, the two announcements describe an ambition to build more aircraft and to own the source of the airframes they are built around.
Completion of the Stemme purchase is expected in the first quarter of 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Until then the deal is agreed but not done, a distinction worth keeping in view.
Demand Signals From Two Continents
The customer side has been equally busy. Ondas reported counter-drone contracts worth several million dollars with public-sector buyers in Europe and Asia: Ranger systems for a European police organization and Iron-Drone-Raider interceptors for an Asian government client. The company did not publish individual contract values.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Ondas Holdings?
Those orders demonstrate that Ondas can win business from government customers, though they cover systems other than the ULTRA aircraft. Assessing the production ramp therefore requires keeping the product lines and their respective demand separate rather than treating one as proof of the other.
FEMA Money Is a Door, Not a Cheque
On October 30, Ondas said its air-security portfolio could support applicants under an expanded FEMA counter-drone funding program worth $250 million. That is positioning for a pool of money, not a grant awarded to Ondas. The company has also flagged its participation in a related funding forum on November 9, 2026.
What the Third Quarter Will Reveal
The next hard datapoint arrives on November 12, 2026, when Ondas releases results for the third quarter of 2026 — a period that closed on September 30 — ahead of a conference call scheduled for 8.30 a.m. ET that morning. The announcement of the reporting date came on October 29.
For investors, the test is organizational and financial rather than promotional: whether the Stemme acquisition closes as agreed and whether the stated production capacity actually gets built. The quarterly update will be the first opportunity to see how the growth plans are being financed, and how firmly the combination of government demand and in-house manufacturing holds together.
