Palantir Rebounds 5.2% as Knox Cloud Deal Widens Federal Doorway
Published on 10/19/2026 at 17:41 | Editorial boerse-global.dePalantir Technologies shares climbed 5.2% to EUR 174.14 on Monday, snapping back from a bruising end to the previous week as the data analytics group unveiled a partnership aimed at speeding software deployments across tightly controlled US government cloud environments.
The arrangement with Knox Systems targets infrastructures governed by FedRAMP and IL5 security standards. Knox claims its process can shepherd a software application through FedRAMP authorization in 90 days or less. Palantir contributes its own accredited federal infrastructure and a long track record on large-scale public-sector projects, while Knox says it already manages more than 100 AI and software applications inside US federal agency environments, counting Adobe, Sierra and Armis among its customers.
Neither partner disclosed financial terms or immediate contract volumes, and the expedited certification path does not amount to a government acceptance guarantee. Even so, the tie-up reinforces Palantir's standing as a technology platform for third-party applications in the security-sensitive government arena.
A Rebound After Friday's Slide
Monday's advance follows a sharp bout of weakness. On Friday the stock fell more than 7% on the US exchange, closing at USD 186.03, as a broad sell-off swept software and AI names. In German trading that session, the shares had dropped 7.4% to EUR 165.52.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Palantir?
The pullback had little to do with company-specific news. Market participants were increasingly questioning how the enormous infrastructure spending on artificial intelligence will be financed, and valuation concerns moved back to the fore. The retreat left the stock 13% below its 52-week high at Friday's close; after Monday's gain, that gap has narrowed to 8.5%.
Commercial Momentum Beyond the Government Core
Separate from the market's mood swings, Palantir has been making headway in the commercial segment. Customers Bank disclosed on Thursday that it has teamed up with Palantir, deploying the Foundry and AIP platforms to support deposit onboarding. As with the Knox deal, no financial details or contract volume were provided.
Wall Street Stays Bullish
Institutional observers remain largely undeterred. Mizuho recently lifted its price target to USD 245 while keeping an "Outperform" rating on the stock. Baird had already raised its own target to USD 250 on October 12, also maintaining an "Outperform" stance. Both houses see further upside for the software provider.
The operating base remains demanding. In the second quarter, Palantir grew US government revenue by 90% to USD 809 million, and the company has guided toward full-year 2026 revenue of roughly USD 8.15 billion.
Attention now turns to November 2, when Palantir will report third-quarter 2026 results after the close of regular US trading, with an investor webcast scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET. The report will show how far sustained demand for the company's AI solutions is translating into actual business figures — and whether the group can live up to the lofty valuation expectations investors have placed on it.
