Partners Group Curbs US Fund Payouts While Betting on French Housing and a Bigger Infrastructure Bench
Published on 11/08/2026 at 09:41 | Editorial boerse-global.dePartners Group is moving on two fronts at once: courting new money through a French residential strategy and a beefed-up European infrastructure team, even as redemption requests at one of its US vehicles run far ahead of what the fund is willing to hand back.
At the Partners Group Private Equity Fund, investors sought to pull roughly USD 2.2 billion in the third quarter, according to SEC filings reported on 30 October. That worked out to about 15.2% of net asset value, against a repurchase ceiling of 5%. The fund met the requests only in part, paying out USD 728.4 million and scaling back the rest on a pro-rata basis under its tender offer. Press reports suggest the heavy withdrawal demand could weigh on Partners Group's share price.
The queue is not clearing quickly. A further repurchase window at Partners Group Growth, LLC closes on 27 November 2026 at 23:59 Eastern Time, per the SEC offer document, with up to about 5% of outstanding units earmarked for buyback.

A €6.6 Billion Fund Prepares to Split
Separately, the Global Value SICAV — roughly €6.6 billion in size, according to media reports — is headed for a restructuring that still needs investor sign-off. Older holdings would move into a distributing portfolio, while younger positions would sit in a vehicle that keeps investing. For the share classes labelled "New Share Classes," the quarterly net redemption limit has already been trimmed to 2.5% of net asset value from 5%. A later shareholder letter indicated those caps were hit across several share classes in October.
French Rentals and New Hires
On the growth side, the "French New Living" residential strategy is targeting a gross asset value of €300 million, aimed at young adults across some 2,000 rental apartments. Two forward-purchase agreements in Choisy-le-Roi and Pantin have already locked in 560 units, with completion slated for mid-2028.
Partners Group is also adding muscle to its European direct infrastructure team. Philip Butcher is set to join as a Managing Director in London in November, Timm Degenhardt is due to start in Zug in March 2027, and Sarah Johnson has been serving as Senior Lead Asset Manager since September 2026.
