Primary Hydrogen Shareholders Back Equity Plan as Wicheeda North Drill Countdown Begins
Published on 09/27/2026 at 08:21 | Editorial boerse-global.dePrimary Hydrogen closed Friday's session at EUR 0.7450, a gain of 6.4 percent, without any company-specific news to explain the move. With the stock having spent recent weeks consolidating, attention has shifted away from the daily tape and toward what the explorer actually does in the field over the coming weeks.
That focus is understandable. Exploration names tend to be judged on drilling progress rather than on single-session price swings, and Primary Hydrogen has a busy operational calendar in front of it.
Wicheeda North: rig booked, meters scheduled
The company's debut drill program at Wicheeda North is set to begin on October 1, with roughly 1,500 meters planned and completion targeted for November 1. Radius Drilling Corp. has been handed the contract to carry out the work.
Site preparation has moved forward in parallel. A first phase of soil sampling has been completed and the samples submitted for analysis, while a second phase is already underway. Precision GeoSurveys Inc. has been engaged for an airborne radiometric survey covering a 738 line-kilometer profile.
Such geophysical work and systematic sampling are designed to map the property's geology in detail. They provide the basis for accurate drill-hole targeting and are intended to lower the risk attached to further exploration.

Shareholders sign off on governance and pay
On the corporate side, investors delivered a clean sweep of approvals at the annual and special meeting. Holders representing 911,489 common shares were present, equal to 12.29 percent of the outstanding capital. Alongside ratification of the auditor and the re-election of four directors, a new compensation plan won shareholder backing.
That plan — an omnibus equity incentive structure — carries two separate components: a rolling tranche of up to 10 percent and a fixed tranche of up to 10 percent as well. The arrangement gives the company added headroom for future share-based awards.
The board will again comprise four seats. David Jackson, Benjamin Asuncion, William Timothy Heenan and Martin Kowcun were returned for another term, and DMCL Chartered Professional Accountants was reappointed as auditor. The meeting followed a pattern of recent corporate activity: about two weeks earlier, confirmation of all resolutions at the shareholder gathering had already lifted the stock by 4.9 percent.
A wider portfolio picture
These decisions sit within a broader sequence of company moves. Roughly a month ago, Primary Hydrogen announced the acquisition of the Wallace hydrogen project, after which the shares have shed 53.1 percent. More than a month ago came the staking of the Seagull North project, accompanied by a marketing agreement with Nordcore Media; the stock has since fallen 19.0 percent.
The longer-term picture remains under pressure. Measured against a 52-week high of EUR 1.59, the shares are down 53 percent. Two weeks ago, the approaching start of drilling was already a talking point in the market, and the stock has slipped 6.9 percent since then.
For investors, the lens has narrowed from short-term price action to execution on the ground. When the drill turns in early October, it will become clear how far the field work can confirm the geological potential of the company's properties.
